The CMS Faculty Critical and Creative Thinking Development Program is designed to offer instruction and support about critical and creative thinking to EKU faculty who teach the general education CMS 100 and CMS 210 courses. The highlights of this initiative include intensive workshop experiences for participating faculty, small group coaching and discussion about how to implement critical and creative thinking pedagogy in the CMS 100 and CMS 210 courses, the ongoing, collective creation of a common materials Blackboard resource site for CMS faculty, and training on how to assess critical and creative thinking in these courses.

Special emphasis of this project is placed on development opportunities for part-time CMS faculty, acknowledging the broad and important impact these particular members of the faculty have on EKU campuses, relative to the goals of the Quality Enhancement Program theme.

For more information, please contact the coordinator of this program, Dr. Jayne Violette, at Jayne.Violette@eku.edu
