The EKU QEP Service-Learning Project offers mini-grants to EKU instructors who develop new courses or redesign existing ones that incorporate the pedagogy of service-learning. This is accomplished through an annual proposal competition. The competition is held each fall. Successful applicants will implement their new/revised course(s) the following academic year. The purpose of this initiative is to promote critical and creative thinking and communication skills of the involved students. Additionally, a program goal is to increase community engagement through service-learning activities on campus which focus on an external community need.
