Quality Enhancement Plan
Call for Submissions: Poster Presentations
Submission deadline: November 17, 2009
The office of Quality Enhancement Programs (QEP) will be coordinating a showcase, entitled A Celebration of Critical & Creative Thinking and Communication, to honor and celebrate our campus-wide efforts to improve student learning with the University's first-ever Quality Enhancement Plan. The showcase will take place on Monday, January 25, 2010, 11:30 – 1:30, in Powell Lobby.
We are inviting EKU faculty, staff, and administrators to submit their desire to present a poster at the showcase that highlights student learning related to the QEP focus to develop informed, critical and creative thinkers who communicate effectively. The poster presentations will provide for fun and one-on-one discussion of specific efforts to improve student learning at EKU.
Requirements
Please submit the answers to the following questions as they relate to you or your program, department, or course. Acceptable submissions will be approved for a poster for the showcase, which the office of the QEP will prepare, in consultation with the applicant. Presenters will be required to present their poster from 11:30 – 1:30 on the day of the showcase, January 25.
For programs or departments:
Please include the following in your submission, related only to current or completed projects (please do not submit a proposal based on a future project):
- What is the full name of the program or department?
- What is your programmatic or departmental goal(s) related to critical and creative thinking and/or communication?
- How do you know that students are meeting that goal?
- What are you doing in your program or department to help students meet that goal?
For individual courses:
Please include the following in your submission, related only to current or previously taught courses (please do not submit a proposal based on a future course):
- What is the full course title?
- What are the student learning objectives of the course related to critical & creative thinking and/or communication?
- How do you know that students are meeting that goal?
- What are you doing in your course to help students meet that goal?
Please provide the presenter's first and last name, title and position, and campus contact information along with the required poster information above to qep@eku.edu by November 17, 2009. |
